Sorry, I didn't realize anyone actually read this.
I'm a research assistant for the Department of Women and Gender Studies at Rutgers University.
I'm currently assisting a professor who specializes in gender/race relations who is working on three projects: one is about Condoleeza Rice and the idea of closeness, another about race and authority in Grey's Anatomy vs in other shows and the differences between racism and prejudice in Crash, and the last about feminism and revisioning the Black Power movement.
You never know who will look at these things, and I was a bit taken aback to see that no one had commented to date. I had looked into your GC blog back when (looking for and finding familiar faces in the photos), and came across the current one through the OCICBINY comments, where I just responded to your offer on the cutout project.
So, you coming on the 22nd? We can offer a ride back to New Brunswick if you need one.
I hadn't really thought about the 22nd. I didn't notice the get together until pretty recently, and I'm not sure about the schedule for my Monday evening class (seriously, who expects a grad school professor to have an attendence grade) -although since my semester project is creating a searchable index of Anglican blogs (yes, I'm serious), I could probably consider it research.
I figured I could take the train in, where are you located?
I work in the city but my wife is driving in to Port Authority Parking Deck from her job in Somerville. We live in Highland Park, and I figure you must be in or near New Brunswick.
