Removing oneself from the table

I think what bothers me most about those bishops who are boycotting Lambeth, is that they are accusing us of heresy while it is they who appear to lack faith in the redemptive power of Christ. To remove themselves from the table means that they are so convinced that we are beyond redemption - that we cannot be helped or turned back to what they believe is the message of Christ that they are not even going to talk to us. Come now, should not those who are claiming to be orthodox have the most faith in Christ's redemptive power to turn hearts to him?

Tales from a Lambeth Steward

Hello everyone,

As most of you know, I am currently at the University of Kent in Canterbury where I will be serving as a Steward at the Lambeth Conference.

I have told most of you that I will be blogging, and have just started.

You are welcome to read it, and I won't be offended if you choose not to (just please don't volunteer the information if you don't) :-P

It has already been an interesting week - and the Bishops don't arrive until next Tuesday.

The blog can be found at: Tales from a Lambeth Steward (http://alambethsteward.blogspot.com)

In peace
Allie

Super thank you!

I want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped contributing to the "Get Allie to Lambeth" fund through your donations, posts, and prayers.

With your help, I've raised $1330, which does cover my airfare, rail fare, travel insurance, and a few other small purchases.

My flight leaves at 8:05pm on Monday July 7th from Newark. I ask your prayers for me and for the whole conference.

My blog url will be posted here when I set it up.

Peace and thanks to everyone
